There are over 7 Billion human beings on our planet. Over 2 Billion identify themselves as Christians, but not all will have eternal life. This is in the Bible. We must be born again.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall have eternal life. Jesus is God's Word. The Bible is complete, but the content on this page is a work in progress.
Jesus describes in the Gospel of John, John:3, what it takes to be born again, and have eternal life. The Apostle Paul discusses this further in his letter to the Romans.
Matthew, Mark, Luke & John are the 4 Gospels. They include the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The Good News is that all can be forgiven and saved; and have eternal life, if they sincerely believe in Jesus.
The Bible has many books that include great adventures. Acts is the story of the new church, and is possibly the greatest nonfiction adventure book ever written.
The Apostle Paul is perhaps the greatest missionary who ever lived. He had been involved with the killing of Christians, and he then was converted by the risen Jesus. He established many churches during his travels. He wrote follow up letters to many of these churches.
I was born into a Methodist family, on a farm in Illinois. I went to church and Sunday school every week. I always believed in God, or a supreme entity, but I had trouble believing in Jesus being all he said he was.
Everyone's Spiritual Journey is different. We are created to search for the truth, and there is only one truth. His name is Jesus.
My first real crisis came when I was 30 years old. An expected promotion was delayed, and I began questioning my beliefs. I had taken a World Religions course in college, and I examined other religions, along with pagan beliefs. I felt I knew Christianity, so I just compared it to other beliefs. I finally finished this search, but it left me unsatisfied.
This was all to change ten years later.
For the first time, when I was 40, I felt my job was in jeopardy. Like most males, my job was my identity. This was a greater crisis than the one I had ten years earlier.
My dad had been suggesting that I attend a Walk to Emmaus; a 3-Day weekend on Christianity. I finally accepted, and began preparing.
The night after the weekend, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Suddenly, everything changed. I received Jesus' joy and peace, which is beyond understanding. All my burdens were gone.
Once you are born again, you receive the Holy Spirit, and your spiritual gifts. The Holy Spirit teaches you to use your spiritual gifts, and leads you in your calling.
You are not perfect, but you are forgiven. Keep your eyes on the prize, which is Jesus.
Everyone's Spiritual Journey is different. It can climax as soon as you can make a conscious decision, or moments before you die. Remember, God is always in charge.
Jesus says in John 3, that we must be born again. He also explains how this happens.
There are other beliefs, but there is only one truth. The Bible is our handbook. The Church is our resource.
The New Testament of the Bible includes the Gospels of Jesus, and the letters of the Apostle Paul. They give valuable examples of how we are to live.
